Decorative antique Khotan carpet from East Turkestan in China. It isn’t easy to find many rugs from this region, especially in good condition as this one is. The light blue ground has many different motifs in pink and yellow-green, framed by multiple borders. There seems to be a sort of signature or makers mark at one end, woven into the kilim end. It has an even low pile and a small area of repiling due to fold mark at one end.
