Rare antique Qashqai carpet. Qashqai rugs have always been sought after in the West by collectors. They possess a certain timeless charm. Tribal pieces are not often found in larger sizes, let alone one as big as this. These pieces were usually woven for the tribal leaders in a particular order and woven by the best weavers of the tribe. The three medallions on a navy blue ground are decorated with floral motifs framed with multiple borders, the main one of which is cream.
