Impressive antique Qashqai kilim runner. Usually, nomadic pieces are not bigger than 200x300cm. This is because so they can be packed up and put on their animals for migration. However, the bigger pieces were usually made to order for the more prominent members of the tribe and were done by the best weavers. This is why the big nomadic pieces are usually of very high quality in terms of material and design. This piece is no exception with its impressive design and execution of it. Kelims of this size are not often found.
