Superb antique Qashqai rug. Navy blue ground is decorated with artistic Boteh (Paisley) design surrounded with foliage on a cream ground. The whole thing is framed with a cream geometric border and four multi coloured guard borders. This is a very rare Qashqai piece, which is as fine as a silk rug hence the beautiful and well defined lines. The wool is of highest quality and the use of natural dyes have enhanced the look of this piece. A wonderful collectors piece. There are small areas of low pile and restoration, as shown in the photos.
