Magnificent Qasvin kilim from North of Iran. Qasvin is in Northwest of Tehran and at one point used to be the Capital of Iran. This particular piece is from a  small town called Boen Zahra. All over stylised boteh design on a royal blue background, with the terracotta surround and beautiful yellow guard border, framed with a lively cream border—a wonderful example of the best Persian kilim weaving.
