Rare antique Sanajabi Saltbag from West of Iran. It is rare to find these pieces in such good condition. This piece seems to have been woven as part of a dowry. In tribal life, maidens weave pieces as part of their dowry, indicated by the pompons attached to the edges. The lozenge design is richly coloured as is the backing jijim—a good collector’s piece.
