Remarkable antique Varamin kilim. Some know this design in Iran as a Mooshaky (Rocket) design. The long strips of colour have thin pointy ends like a rocket. The ageing process not only has given depth to the dyes but has made the wool feel soft to the touch. Varamin kilims are usually of high quality, and some like this one are very fine. They are mostly of this order of size and more often with darker colours and not often so colourful.
