A rare Antique Zeigler Sultanabad carpet from Central Iran. This piece has a rare combination of olive green in the border and cream ground with light blue and peach elements. This all-over design carpet is very decorative, and the size suggests it must have been ordered for the American market and clearly an affluent family. It most probably was originally used under a big dining table. There are signs of age with parts very low or worn, which is in line with the age of this carpet and what gives it a lot of character.
