Magnificent vintage Kashan carpet from Central Iran. This is quite an interesting piece in many ways. The large Shahabbas flower motifs along with border that is marked out by guard border rather than lines. It is very well woven but there are small mistakes in the design that would suggest it was woven by an apprentice of a masterweaver. The cream ground all over floral design with slight hues of blue make this piece very decorative. It has a uniform low pile with one small area with slightly lower pile.
