Such sweet mellow colours are not often found in handmade rugs of vintage stock in this decorative Meshkin rug. These repeated motifs are usually used in kilims but work out so beautifully in this rug along with dogs and stylised paisley design in narrow borders. The look appears to have been achieved using a special chemical wash.
