Tafresh is a town in central Iran with quite a few surrounding villages. Their carpet production is not high. This fleshy Tafresh rug has the distinctive Sunburst Tafresh medallion on a rose field with bold spandrels. The small cream paisley running along the inner cream border is unusual—a good honest piece with a soft colour combination that will last a long time.
