Outstanding vintage Mashad carpet. The cream ground contains beautifully drawn floral motifs with Islimis running through them. The elegant floral red border is flanked with two light blue guard borders. This piece benefits from velvety high-quality wool and is very finely woven—a wonderful example of the best Mashad weaving. There is an area of reweaving, which has been done expertly and is almost impossible to find.
