Elegant antique Bijar runner from West of Iran. Bijars are the steel carpets of Iran. It is very densely woven, which is why this piece still looks so good even after so many years. It is an unusual design on a blue field, and the apricot border with the flowers looks very pretty. It is woven on wool as you would expect from a Bijar of this age. Even low pile with some signs of wear. This is reflected in the price.
