Karaja is a town in Northwest Iran that produces decorative village type rugs. This piece has a beautiful saturated red ground colour with three large medallions and various exciting motifs in the ground.  The indigo border with its geometric design completes this rug. The high-quality wool and natural dyes make this piece stand out. It is a good collector’s piece, as it is in very good condition for its age.
