Qum does not have a long history of carpet weaving; however, what they produce is usually of very high quality. This piece, with all-over lozenge design with small bouquets in between, is one of those excellent pieces. The striking wide guard borders on a blue background are fascinating and intricately done. An elegant piece that would make a lovely living room carpet. There are a couple of small minute repairs that do not show.
