Beautiful antique Shahsavan runner. There are not many examples from this tribe compared to other tribes. However, they are almost all finely woven, and this piece is no exception, with its lustrous velvety wool and fine knotting. The glorious indigo field is framed with a beautiful leaf border. At one end the piece veers to the right a bit.
