Vintage Yamoud Turkman carpet from the Northeast of Iran. This is a typical Yamoud with a beautiful deep red ground colour and very graceful cream border. There are large rams heads motifs at either end that project the carpet beautifully.
There are small areas of colour bleed, as shown in the images and a little corner of the fringe has opened up, which does not affect the durability of the carpet. Otherwise, it has a full pile.
