Pardeh design, vintage Afghan rug. Pardeh means curtain. Some of the rugs and kilims in this design were used at the entrances of tents or rooms. This piece still has the loops that would have been used for hanging it. It is woven in Kunduz in North of Afghanistan. It has a fine uniform weave and high-quality wool with a deep red colour.
