What makes this Karaja unusual is the cream ground and colour; it is also challenging to find Karaja in this size. Another fascinating quirk is that the first weaver started weaving in a beautiful Serapi weave. After about 15cm, a new weaver seems to have taken over and woven the rest in a Karaja weave. But it does not show from the front. The multiple medallions are woven on a cream ground with typical Karaja motifs and a royal geometric blue border. There are some small areas of low pile.
