This is a well-woven fine Qashqai rug from the nomads of South Iran. It is rare to find these rugs with a green ground colour. It has three medallions and red spandrels. The field contains stylised bush design and cypress trees, which look like spades. The narrow cream border brings the whole rug together. This rug is a very good example of fine nomadic weaving.
