Stunning antique Afshar Sofreh kilim from South of Iran. Sofreh is the cloth laid on the floor, used for serving food. However, the Afshari Sofrehs were mainly used to keep the dough in.  There are many exciting elements in this kilim, like the cute white flower heads or the fine finishing round the piece. The combination of colours with the grey-blue ground colour and different coloured zigzags are very eyecatching. There are a couple of old repairs.
