Charming antique Kurdish Saddlebag from the West of Iran. Double lozenge medallion on blue background with beautiful red borders decorated with lozenge designs. The lustrous soft wool has been dyed using natural dyes, and all the locks are intact. The button and shell decoration with Turquoise buttons show the simplicity and charm of tribal weaving. This piece was probably done as part of a dowry.
