Description
This is a classic antique Qashqai rug from the Tribes of South Iran. The saturated colour is derived from natural dyes used in dying the handspun wool used in weaving this rug. The multiple borders with clear symbols and the clarity of design indicate an excellent weaver. It is very finely woven with many nomadic motifs. It is evenly low, and the one edge does not lay very flat, which is reflected in the price.
