Delightful antique Kordi Horse Blanket from West of Iran. Horses are prized possessions of this proud nomadic tribe. It is important how they decorate their best horses. It is woven using the soumack technique. Dark sage green background with colourful horses and motifs. This piece was woven in two halves and then stitched together. It is all handspun wool and natural dyes.
